PUTIN APPOINTS POKLONSKAYA AS CRIMEA’S CHIEF PROSECUTOR (2 MAY 2014)




Putin appoints Poklonskaya Crimea's chief prosecutor

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree appointing Natalya Poklonskaya, 34, as chief prosecutor of the Republic of Crimea, the Kremlin reports on its website.

Earlier, Poklonskaya served as the republic’s acting chief prosecutor after being appointed to the job by federal Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika on March 26. The same day, the Ukrainian Security Service placed her on the wanted list.
