Birth rate falls in Ukraine, and growth monthly in DPR

The birth rate started growing monthly in the Donetsk People's Republic, while on the contrary in Ukraine this indicator catastrophically falls, stated the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko.

"Why does birth rate fall in Ukraine, though no military operations are conducted on the territory of the whole Ukraine? Women give birth when they are sure of the future, when there is a stable salary, and children will get a stable education. In Ukraine there is no stability now. People in a terrible depression, and any sane family won’t deliver a baby in such a state. The statistics is crazy, the decrease is crazy.

Our people believe in country and future in the conditions of war, daily shellings, military operations. Therefore, our birth rate increases monthly by one and a half percent. 5,6 thousand people, 5,8 thousand – monthly birth rate approaches six thousand. Not only our birth rate increased – for today the number of weddings is many-fold more in Registry Offices, than it was in 2014. People get married, give birth to children and believe in future," stated Zakharchenko.
