2 years passed since the
tragedy in Torez
on: July 16, 2016
Be
reminded that air catastrophe of Boeing 777 of the Malaysia Airlines planned
flight from Amsterdam to Kuala-Lumpur happened on 17th July 2014 at
5 pm in the village Grabovo in Torez, close to border with LPR. According to
amount of casualties, this catastrophe is 10 the most horrible cases of air
catastrophes in history.
On
21st July 2014 SS of UN adopted resolution № 2166, having
condemned actions that led to crush of passenger plane, and they demanded from
armed forces that controlled place of the tragedy to stop all military actions
in the area joined to the place of Boeing crush, and they called to cooperate
in international investigation.
Altogether,
as a result of the catastrophe 298 people died. All they were on the board of
the plane. 80 passengers were less that 18, including children less that 2
years old, 2 Malaysians and 1 Indonesian.
In
regard to the preliminary data, International AIDS Society was stated that more
that 100 scientists, doctors were on the board; among them were leading
specialists of the world in sphere of AIDS cure who flew to the Melbourne in
Australia. Later, it was reported that only 6 participants of the conference
used that flight.
It
is necessary to point out that investigation has been holding for more than 2
years, facts and evidences provided by Russian side are not considered by the
International society, and evidences against Russia are not enough, so, culprit
has not been punished, because it has not been found.
The
catastrophe shocked the entire international community; however, it is very
difficult to imagine the state of grieving relatives who were not able to
arrive to the place of the tragedy, all countries in one way or another
involved in the evacuation of bodies, for safety reasons did not allow
relatives to arrive to the territory of the DPR.
Long
period of time, and here we met with relative of the dead passenger who was on
the board MH17, he was one of the participants of Medical Conference,
journalist of reports from the place of meeting on 12th July 2016.
Brother of perished passenger Claudio mentioned: “I
am grateful that I could do this visit with the support and goodwill from both
Kiev and Donetsk”.
Claudio felt
necessity to arrive to the place. Having reached the village Grabovo, we saw
toys, one of the left from perished child, and other toys were laid in memory
of children who died that day. There was a photo of perished citizen of the
Netherlands, it was clear that his relatives were here. Then, Claudio laid
flowers from him and his sister and he sat at the monument ‘Memory, perished
298 people, innocent victims of the Civil War! And he plunged into memories.
After
time spent in silence, at the place where close person died, the man talked to
local women who passed nearby, it was very important to him to talk to people
about that day.
Despite
the fact that the relatives of those who were at the wrong time and in the
wrong place, they share with Donbass terrible events of July 17, 2014, our
guest from Switzerland said very kind words:
“Keep strong, better days will come.
I really hope you and Donetsk people will be
happy again. You deserve it”.
