Residents from Kiev-controlled territory arrive at DPR Youth Festival

The Donbass International Youth Festival has gathered almost 100 residents from the Kiev-controlled cities in the capital of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Young Republic public organization's leader Nikita Kiosev states.  

"I'm so pleased to greet guests from Russia and of course from Donbass. 97 people from the Kiev-controlled cities have arrived in the DPR today,” said Leader of the Young Republic.

According to him, all of them are students. They arrived in Donetsk on their own initiatives. Neither weather, nor difficulties with crossing the front line hampered the guys.

“I'm so pleased that I have arrived at the festival. I immediately made the decision. I could not miss such a large-scale event. We're the one people and nothing will divide us,” pointed out a participant from Kramatorsk Ivan K.

DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko wishes Donbass residents victories in 2018

The Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko congratulated the inhabitants of Donbass on the New Year.

"I will not speak about war. For all of us, the war has become a routine fact of life. Today I want to speak about peace, because the peace is what we are fighting for, working for, building and restoring. We are building, despite the war," the congratulation says. "Dear fellow countrymen, I wish you all happiness and goodness, love and joy. Let 2018 be the year of victories and achievements for the benefit of our Motherland."

The Head of the DPR noted that the year 2017 was rich, full of positive transformations and important events. According to Zakharchenko, the Republic managed to resume the work of the largest enterprises, preserve the production potential of the state, save working places, and increase revenues to the budget.

"In order to live and develop, we must look a few steps forward. Therefore, it is very important not to lose the younger generation, to implant in them that spark, that fire of love for the Motherland, which help us live, build and fight," the Head of State said.
