PATRIARCH KIRILL ON DONALD TRUMP

Major Christian Leader Of Russia Declares: Trump Is The Only American Leader That Gives Hope For Persecuted Christians

Patriarch Kirill of Russia declared that Trump is the only American leader that gives hope for Christians in fighting off the Islamic State, a great persecutor of Christians. According to one report:

Patriarch Kirill, the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, has said that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is the only American politician to give Russians, and Christians, hope in successfully fighting off the Islamic State terror group.

Kirill made the remarks in an interview with Russia Today, translated into English, where he said that although he doesn’t know Trump personally, he has been encouraged by his strong stance against terrorism.

“Based on what Mr. Trump said in the course of the election campaign, we can see that he does have the intention to establish a dialogue with Russia, including first and foremost when it comes to combating terrorism. That’s good; it opens up new opportunities for cooperation, which is what I hope we’re going to have in Russia-U.S. relations in order to tackle this,” Kirill said.

He added that he “can’t really say” much about Trump beyond that.

“I don’t know him personally, and I don’t know much about his life, so I can only judge based on his statements, which were in stark contrast to other politicians’ stances. There was no hope in what others were saying, while Mr. Trump’s words give us hope,” he added, referring to Trump’s stated commitment to combat Islamic terror at home and abroad.

Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have vowed to work together to defeat IS, the terror group that has held territory in Iraq and Syria since 2014. The U.S. president-elect has suggested that there will be much warmer relations with Russia under his administration than during outgoing President Obama’s administration.

Vladimir Putin has effectively told Obama: you're turning the USA Into a godless sewer....
“Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values.

“Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan. This is the path to degradation.”

Putin has criticised the "morally bankrupt" West, slipping into “chaotic darkness.”

At the height of the Cold War, it was common for American conservatives to label the officially atheist Soviet Union a “godless nation.”

More than two decades later, history has come full circle, as the Kremlin and its allies in the Russian Orthodox Church hurl the same allegation of godlessness back at the West.

It is very serious when Russia is warning America of the danger of godlessness! What would Ronald Reagan say!
What Russia's Top Church Leader is Saying about Donald Trump
11-27-2016

The leader of the Russian Orthodox Church believes President-elect Donald Trump is the only American politician to give Russians, and Christians, hope in the war against the Islamic State.

Patriarch Kirill told Russia Today (RT) he is encouraged by the incoming president's strong position against ISIS.

"Based on what Mr. Trump said in the course of the election campaign, we can see that he does have the intention to establish a dialogue with Russia, including first and foremost when it comes to combating terrorism," Kirill said.

"That's good; it opens up new opportunities for cooperation, which is what I hope we're going to have in Russia-U.S. relations in order to tackle this," he added.

"I don't know him personally, and I don't know much about his life, so I can only judge based on his statements, which were in stark contrast to other politicians' stances. There was no hope in what others were saying, while Mr. Trump's words give us hope," he said.

Kirill also told RT that he agrees that Trump is not afraid to speak his mind especially during a time when Christians in America are being shut down by political correctness.

"It seems as if political correctness is meant to limit Christians' freedom to practice their faith. For example, why should we use 'X-mas' instead of 'Christmas'?," he asked. "We're very wary when, under the guise of political correctness and universal rights and liberties, we glimpse signs of discrimination against the people who want to be open about their Christian convictions."

As Russia's Vladmir Putin congratulated Trump on his election victory and later vowed to dialogue with the U.S. "on the basis of mutual respect," Kirill said it is important for Christians to continue to pray for the nations that are working to eradicate terrorism.

"All that is left to us as Christians is to pray and, of course, work together with everyone, so that all the nations involved realize that collaboration is instrumental. We keep hearing that the coalition has its own approach, and Russia has a different stance. Well, now is the time when we can't have two conflicting positions any longer; we need to align ourselves with each other," he said.

As the president prepares to step down from his post, not everybody was prepared to give Mr Obama’s eight years in office a glowing send-off.

Amid heightening tensions between Russia and US the group of protesters can be seen holding the long sign outside the embassy in Moscow.

The video shows the gang of 10 men running into the view of the camera, all wearing white face masks.

Two of the group then grab either end of the large scroll and begin to uncover what is written on it.

The words “Obama burn in hell” can be seen as the sign is unfurled on the streets of the Russian capital.

The footage, uploaded by news service Ruptly, shows the activists begin to light red flares as they begin to chant in protest of the out-going Obama administration.

As the flames begin to burn out, the masked men chuck the banner on to the floor before setting the canvas on fire.

The gang were members of the art group “Federals” and had staged the protest to express their disagreement with the policies of Mr Obama, according to RT.

At the end of the 47-second video, the men disperse in the same direction they had come from, leaving the banner behind.

On Friday Barack Obama will make way for president-elect Donald Trump – after the Republican’s crushing victory over rival Hillary Clinton in November.

There has been no love lost between President Obama and Russia’s Vladimir Putin over the years.

The relationship between the two superstates has come under strain with some likening it to a “new Cold War”.

Tensions increased further in recent weeks after Mr Obama ordered sanctions against the Kremlin as punishment for its alleged hacking interference in the US election.

President Obama kicked out 35 Russian officials in revenge of the reported hack - described by Mr Putin as “irresponsible diplomacy”.

There is hope that with relations could soon be resurrected over the coming months as Mr Trump looks rebuild ties with Russia.

Russia’s president said he would not retaliate to the American sanctions and instead will “make further steps to help resurrect Russian-American relations based on the policies that the administration of Trump will pursue".
