About 12 thousand children born in DPR in 2017 – Justice Ministry

Almost 12 thousand birth certificates were issued by the employees of the DPR registrar's offices for the past year, reported the press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Donetsk People's Republic.

"In 2017, 11,895 births of children were registered in the territorial divisions of civil registration of the DPR," the press service noted.

The Ministry of Justice added that for the year 2017, 4,476 marriages were registered in the DPR, 250 documents on the name change were issued.

More than 500 babies were born in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) since early 2018, DPR Justice Ministry, Press-Service reports.

“The registrar's office of the DPR Justice Ministry reports that territorial departments registered 504 birth certificates in 2018,' says a statement.

Earlier the DPR Justice Ministry reported that in 2017 there were issued almost 12 thousand birth certificates, registered 4,476 marriages, issued 250 documents about names' change.

Employees of DPR Registry Offices' Departments have issued almost 42,000 birth and marriage certificates since the beginning of the conflict in Donbass, the DPR Justice Ministry, Press-Service reports. 

“DPR Registry Offices' Territorial subdivisions have registered 29,081 birth certificates and 12,757 marriage ones since November, 2014 and as of July 12, 2017,” said a representative of the DPR Justice Ministry. 

She added that the certificates issued during the period from April to November, 2014 are in a paper office of the Justice Ministry and at the moment are restored to be put into an electronic base. 

It should be noted that DPR civil state certificates' issue officially began in July, 2015. The first marriage registration was held in Makeyevka on July 29, 2015.   

Alexander Zakharchenko, the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) presented a marriage certificate to a newly married couple.

Employees of the Civil Registry Offices in the cities and districts of the Donetsk People's Republic have issued more than six thousand birth certificates from the beginning of 2017, reported the press service of the DPR Ministry of Justice.

"Over the period from January 1 to July 5, 2017, civil registration offices issued 6,042 birth certificates," the department noted.

According to the Ministry of Justice, 1,682 documents on marriage and 118 on the name change were issued for the indicated period.

The issuance of the DPR civil status certificates was officially launched in the Republic in July 2015. The first marriage registration took place on July 29 in Makeyevka. Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko personally presented the certificate to the newlyweds. Birth certificates' issuance has also been launched since July 2015.
