Zakharchenko: Donbass should be rid of the fascists
on: June 22, 2015

Fascism is gaining momentum in Ukraine, and the grandsons of the WWII victors have to fight it, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Aleksandr Zakharchenko said today.

“Today, on June 22, the Day of memory and Grief, we commemorate the fallen in the Great Patriotic War and recollect the most horrible day in the history of our people – the beginning of the bloody war, which took the lives of millions of our mothers an fathers”, — said the Head of the DPR.

Zakharchenko reminded that it was indeed the Holy War “in defence of the land, history and culture, for the native language, for the right of the children to a free and happy life. “Yes, we won in that war, but we payed big price for the Great Victory, and pain of the losses is still alive in our hearts. Nevertheless, the memory of the unprecedented courage, heroism and spiritual strength inspire our generation to commit heroic deeds in our turn”, — the Head of the Republic added. He stated that “occupants have once again come to Donbass, and the blood of the innocent is being shed, like before”. “Fascism has risen its head once again, and now the grandsons of the glorious victors have  thrown themselves in the way of the brown threat, — Zakharchenko said. —  Today we grieve over the fallen, but we know that our people are invincible. We will endure and rid our land from the enemy. The victory will be ours!”
