The Dr. Liza Foundation’s new leader has promised to go ahead with the Foundation’s traditional activities - help for the homeless and needy and patients in palliative care at home.
Earlier, the general meeting of the Fair Aid Foundation unanimously voted for Sokolova as the organization’s new president. Before she was the organization’s trustee.
The Fair Aid Foundation was established by medical doctor Yelizaveta Glinka, whose charity activity in Donbass promptly earned her an informal nickname: Dr. Liza. Her life came to an abrupt and tragic ending on December 25, 2016, when a Tupolev-154 liner heading for Syria crashed into the Black Sea near Sochi.
