A ceremony of a presentation with a battle
flag for the Vitiaz spetsnaz battalion of the Ministry of Transportation, #Donetsk.
It is the military unit whose primary role is
to protect the railway infrastructure from Ukrainian terrorist acts. The last

The presentation of the battle flag to the special
unit “Vityaz" (Knight), created within the DPR Ministry of Transport to
protect facilities of the institution from sabotage, was held today at the
Railway Square in Donetsk.
The ceremony was attended, in particular, by the
DPR Defense Minister Vladimir Kononov and the Transport Minister Simon
Kuzmenko. Several hundred residents of the capital came to watch the event.
In the solemn atmosphere the head of the Defense
Ministry handed over the flag to the commander of the unit Roman Kornienko.
According to an old military tradition, the last kneeled and kissed the battle
flag.
‘In times of war vityazs (knights) stood up to defend their homeland. I hope that we will not disgrace the proud title of “Vityaz”,’ said Kornienko.
The Special Forces unit was formed three months
ago, with the objective of protecting transport infrastructure, including
bridges, buildings, stations and depots. Its number is a military secret.
After the ceremony, the soldiers of the
"Vityaz" demonstrated their combat skills in a show on neutralising a
terrorist group and protecting civilians. In addition, they showed martial arts
techniques and tameshiwari, the art of breaking hard objects.

Вручение боевого знамени спецподразделению
«Витязь», созданному в структуре министерства транспорта ДНР для охраны
объектов ведомства от диверсантов, состоялось сегодня на Привокзальной площади
Донецка.
В церемонии приняли участие, в частности, министр обороны ДНР Владимир Кононов, глава Минтранса Семен Кузьменко. За происходящим пришли понаблюдать несколько сотен жителей столицы.
В торжественной обстановке глава оборонного ведомства вручил знамя командиру подразделения Роману Корниенко. По старой воинской традиции последний преклонил колено и поцеловал боевое знамя.

«Вы теперь – боевая единица ДНР, помните одно: боевое зная нельзя утратить. Подразделение, потерявшее свое боевое знамя, подлежит расформированию в трехдневный срок. Берегите свое знамя, несите его гордо, с честью и достоинством», – сказал Кононов, обратившись к бойцам.

железнодорожного полотна, составов. Для нормальной работы транспортной системы
нашей Республики требуется такое подразделение, как «Витязь». Я уверен, что
благодаря действиям бойцов «Витязя» количество диверсий резко сократится», –
заявил он.
