downing of MH17" - the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic

"We haven't shot down the Boeing. The
responsibility lies with Ukraine for the downed
plane," said Aleksandr Zakharchenko, the Head of the
Donetsk People`s Republic in the press conference, which took place on 29
September in Donetsk capital. Zakharchenko gave his comments on the
situation at the front line and also the foreign policy situation.
I have watched the animated movie made by Netherlands. I will say that the Hollywood could do it better. But seriously I thought and continue thinking that we haven't shot down Boeing. The responsibility lies with Ukraine for the downed plane. The authorities should stand for what they have done and for the fact they haven't averted the tragedy - to close the air space for flights. Real investigation will be conducted after we win. Then we will prove who shot down Boeing. Those responsible will be held accountable.
Commenting upon the recent poll results among the
members of Verkhovna Rada, Aleksandr Zakharchenko stated that these results
showed for one more time that Ukraine would not implement the Minsk agreements:
Only 15% supported the special status of Donbass, and 11% - the amnesty. We have done nothing to be granted amnesty, it is them who should think about the amnesty. If such kind of a mood is present at the legislative body of Ukraine what can we actually talk about?
Touching upon the situation at the front line the
Head of the DPR confirmed that 237 cases of shelling of the DPR territory were
recorded. The Ukrainian party continues using the heavy weaponry, as for
instance the howitzer D-30 was used during the shelling of the airport. Apart
from that he stressed that none forces withdraw till the sustainable ceasefire
regime.
Providing an answer to the question concerning the
US providing the so-called “moderate opposition” in Syria with possibly made in
Ukraine missiles for “Grad” generally produced only in CIS-countries Aleksandr
Zakharchenko underlined that this is rather a difficult question and that it is
necessary to conduct a full-fledged investigation:
But even the Ukrainian party lacks in ammunition for “Grad”. So I believe that Ukraine is capable of passing the leftovers in order to please Washington without thinking of its soldiers. The US loses in Syria. Syria is a true and military and political victory of the Russian Federation. The US makes everything in order not to lose the influence in this region.
Commenting on “Sparta” battalion`s recent presence
on the LPR territory the DPR Head said that the Lugansk People`s Republic is a
brother for the DPR:
Armed forces of the DPR are ready to help Lugansk citizens at any time. The detachments sent there were only guarding the borders and preventing the possible attacks of the Ukrainian army. Nothing else was done by “Sparta”. The mission was accomplished during two days and after it “Sparta” left the LPR. The citizens of Lugansk coped with their problem by themselves. Any violation of the constitutional order in the LPR we perceive as the betrayal. There is a legally elected authority. And we will always help the LPR to defend braveness and freedom the same as they do.
Apart from that Aleksandr Zakharchenko informed
about the situation with primaries that are to take place in Donetsk 2 October:
The Republic is ready for 100%. Everything will be held at the highest level. Some provocations may appear but there are security services that control the situation.
The Head of the state also told about the
cooperation with the OSCE missions:
Unfortunately, we had different schedules with Alexander Hug so we haven't met. But we cooperate closely with the OSCE. The leaders of all missions can meet either with me or with any other person. We haven't received replies to the suggestions.
Aleksandr Zakharchenko also explained the situation
with a gas price increase at the gas stations:
It`s connected with a seasonality. I think that in November after the end of planting season the gas price would decrease. This is normal state of things that occurs every year.
